Seminar: “Islamic financing in Europe”

Programme Islamic Financing – 27th November

The Egmont Institute with the kind support of the Embassy of Indonesia has the honour to inform you that an Expert Seminar on “Islamic financing in Europe” will take place on November the 27th (morning) at the Egmont palace, Brussels

Dr. Muhammad Syafii Antonio, member of the Islamic banking committee at the Central Bank of Indonesia will present the role of Islamic financing as a development tool in Indonesia while Mr.Mohamed Boulif, chairman of Al Maalya, Global Islamic Finance, will consider Islamic financing as an economic instrument between the EU and the Mediterranean. Their presentations will be followed by a comparison with conventional banking.

The panel will be moderated by Professor Laurent Gheeraert, professor of finance at the Solvay Brussels School of economics and management.

A debate will follow the presentations.
