2nd Call of « Citizens Exchange Programme » of the Anna Lindh Foundation

The Anna Lindh Foundation launched the 2nd Call of the « Citizens Exchange Programme » for Euro-Med Civil Society Organisations (CSO) exchanges, that will be taking place between from the 1st July to 31st December 2013. ALF seeks to support in this way the exchange of young CSOs members for a period of 1 to 3 months.

Deadline for receiving applications: 14th April 2013 at 16:00 EGYPT time.

About the programme:

Citizens Exchange Programme is a twinning scheme to support exchange of people for grassroots expertise, field work actions and awareness campaigns among CSOs members in concerned Southern countries, and between them and CSOs members in the EuroMed Region.

The ALF is seeking through this programme to engage young people who are active in their communities and have a long term vision of change. In particular, the Citizens Exchange Programme (2012 – 2014) supports the exchange of active young CSO members in the Euro-Med region for a period of 1 to 3months (preference to 3 months). In principle, this Programme is a traineeship service to work on projects related to the following ALF “4D” themes: Dialogue, Diversity, Democracy and Development.

Who is involved

  •  Citizen Exchange Actor (CEA)
  • Sending Organisation (Assumes the role of applicant)
  • Host organisation

The Exchange works on two main modalities:

  • Twinning scheme: an organisation can send and host at the same time a Citizen Exchange Actor (CEA) for the same period of time (exchange among Arab Civil Society Organisations or between Euro-Med and Arab Civil Society Organisations)
  • An organisation can only send a CEA to be hosted by another organisation.
