Israel revives the Palestine it tried to crush -22/07/2014- MO* Magazine

When the bodies of the three Israeli settlers- of which two teenagers Aftali Frenkel and Gilad Shaar, both aged 16 and Eyal Yifrach, 19 years of age- were found back on the 30th of June near Hebron in the southern West Bank, Israel was mourning and the whole world was filled with sympathy. The three youngster disappeared eighteen days earlier in unclear circumstances. The whole incident, especially after its tragic ending, seemed to have traumatized Israel and caused Israel to deny the cruelties of the settlers and the militarization of their society.

The expulsion of Christians in Mosul is the latest action of the new Islamic State which now stretches from the west of Syria up to the borders of Baghdad. It took the radical Muslim group ten years and a war in Iraq in order to establish itself in the heart of the Middle East. The question is if this will be sustainable.
